We’re not just starting a new year. We’re entering a new decade. And it may be that we’re entering the most important decade of the 21st Century. For a historical precedent let’s look at the last century.

One could make a strong argument that the events that occurred during the second decade of the 20th Century were the most influential events of the century. The European Imperialism that led to WWI (1914-18) and its lopsided peace treaty (1919) created the breeding ground for both Fascism and Communism, which in turn led to the igniting of WWII. And the outcome of WWII, created the Cold War power struggle that determined every strategic enterprise until the 1990s.

That’s how important the second decade of the last century was.
